Cold Water Therapy
Cold Water: A Practice of Resilience
Cold water has been a powerful part of my own healing journey. At first, I treated it as a test of will—proof that I could conquer my fear. But over time, it became something much softer and more profound: a way to lift my mood, calm my stress, and feel deeply awake in my own body.

The Science & The Soul
Research is starting to echo what many of us feel intuitively: for many otherwise healthy adults, regular, well‑paced cold‑water exposure can support mood, stress resilience, and overall wellbeing.
But in our work together, we don’t use cold water to "shock" the system. We use it to widen your window of tolerance. It becomes a safe, controlled space where you can practice meeting intensity with breath, presence, and kindness.
How We Work
How we might explore this together If you are curious about cold water, I can support you to explore it in a safe, non‑pressured way.
We go at your pace: That might mean starting with just a few seconds of cool water on your wrists, or simply standing at the water’s edge.
We use the Somatic OT lens: We pay attention to your breath, your body signals, and your beliefs about capacity.
The Goal: It is not about how long you stay in; it is about the experience of saying: "I can do hard things without abandoning myself

The Result - Returning Home
People often leave feeling:
Truly rested, not just distracted.
More anchored in themselves and in their bodies.
With a gentler way of relating to their emotions and their history.
With simple, realistic practices to continue at home – in how they rest, move, create, and set boundaries.
