The Studio

Creativity, Love & Grief

Keepsake Jewellery

Silver Clay, Sea Glass, Fingerprints & Ashes

Intimate, hands-on workshops to honour grief, love or important thresholds. Together we create silver-clay fingerprint pendants, keepsakes or pieces containing a small amount of ashes or fur. No previous jewellery experience is needed – the focus is a slow, quiet space to make something meaningful that can be worn close to the skin. After firing in the kiln silver clay becomes pure, fine silver.

The Alchemy of Connection

Fingerprints, Memorials & The Gift of Touch

In my studio in Carrick Castle, I believe that jewelry is more than an ornament—it is a somatic anchor. Whether you are celebrating a new life, honoring a deep bond, or navigating the landscape of loss, I invite you to create a "living legacy" that you can hold close to your heart.

Bespoke Fingerprint Keepsakes

“I created my first fingerprint pendant because I wanted my daughters to always have a piece of me to hold.” — Kasia

Our fingerprints are our most unique signature. In a digital world, there is a profound peace in tracing the exact lines and whorls of a loved one’s touch.

  • The Process: I send a gentle, professional putty kit to your home. Once you capture the impression and return it to me, I hand-cast the print into .999 fine silver.

  • The Result: A tactile talisman that provides a "somatic bridge" to those you love, helping your nervous system feel grounded and connected, no matter the distance.

  • Personalisation: Each piece can be hand-stamped on the reverse with a significant initial or date.

The Carrick Reliquary: Memorial Ashes

Sacred anchors for animal and human companions.

Grief can often feel like a "freeze" in the nervous system. As a trauma-informed Occupational Therapist, I use meaningful occupation to help you transform that weight into light. My "Carrick Reliquary" technique is a safe, reverent way to carry your loved ones with you.

  • The Alchemy: A small portion of ashes is folded into the heart of the silver clay. During the 800°C firing process, the silver fuses around the ashes, making them an elemental part of the metal.

  • The Window of Memory: I set a piece of frosted sea glass (found on the shores of Loch Goil or Seaham treasures) over the ashes within a silver bezel. This creates a luminous "window"—a private sanctuary that protects the remains while keeping the connection visible to you.

  • Your Agency: You can choose to be part of the process or trust me to create the piece with the utmost reverence. Any unused ashes are always returned to you with your finished keepsake.

The Beauty of the Real

My work is not mass-produced or laser-perfected. I embrace the "wabi-sabi"—the natural cracks, lines, and textures that give a piece its soul. Like our own histories, these imperfections are where the light gets in.

A Note on Local Connection: While my Etsy shop serves the world, I offer a special Introductory Studio Rate for my neighbors here in Argyll. If you would like to visit the studio in person to take an impression or discuss a memorial, please reach out.

The "Science of Silver"

From Clay to Couture: The Magic of .999 Fine Silver

You might wonder, how does clay become a silver heirloom?

The Alchemy: I work with Silver Clay—a remarkable material made of microscopic particles of recycled silver mixed with a plant-based binder and water. It looks and feels like clay, allowing me to capture the microscopic ridges of a fingerprint or the delicate veins of a leaf with incredible detail.

The Fire: Once the piece is designed, it enters my kiln at 800°C. In the heat of the fire, the organic binder burns away completely, and the silver particles "sinter"—fusing together into solid metal.

The Purity: The result is .999 Fine Silver.

  • Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver.

  • Fine Silver is 99.9% pure silver.

It is softer, brighter, and carries a higher luster than Sterling. It is more resistant to tarnish and is hypoallergenic, making it as kind to your skin as it is beautiful to the eye. When you hold a piece from my studio, you are holding silver in its purest, most luminous form.

My Collection

The Nature Collection: Fine Silver Somatic Anchors

Cast from the Wild, Wrought with Intention

My nature collection is born from the rugged beauty of the Cowal Peninsula. These are not just accessories; they are somatic anchors—physical reminders of the peace, resilience, and rhythm of the natural world.

When life feels fast or overwhelming, these pieces invite you to stop, breathe, and reconnect with the earth under your feet and the water at your door.

The Collection

The Ancient Leaf and Buds Talismans and Earrings. Captured in the forest, held in fine silver. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind casting of a real botanical find from the woods around Carrick Castle. By wearing a leaf, you carry the forest’s quiet strength with you. Tracing the delicate veins of the silver helps to ground a racing mind, bringing you back to the present moment.

The Sea Urchin & Loch Goil Treasures Inspired by the tides and the depth of the water. Born from my love of kayaking and dipping in my local waterfall, these pieces celebrate the textures of the sea. The sea urchin, with its intricate patterns, is a symbol of hidden strength and protection. These are for the adventurers, the water-lovers, and those who find their healing in the flow of the tide.

The Bold & The Authentic Embracing the Wabi-Sabi. You will notice the natural "cracks" and raw edges in my silver work. I choose not to over-polish away the history of the piece. These textures represent our own resilience—proof that there is immense beauty in being real, not perfect.

Scottish Aurora Collection

The Scottish Aurora collection is a slow, tactile body of work inspired by northern light, coastal colour, and the quiet magic of the Scottish landscape. Each piece is handmade using polymer clay, resin and 14ct gold filled or silver sterling findings.  They are very light and one of a kind.
