The Grounding Spiral Earrings: Raw Copper & 14ct Gold-Filled findings – £30
Designed in my little studio by Loch Goil as a wearable somatic anchor, these earrings offer a quiet, ancient symbol of grounding. They are crafted to bring a sense of mindful focus and earthy stability to your day.
These are perfectly imperfect pieces of wearable art. Each earring features a single, bold spiral, meticulously hand-forged from thick, solid raw copper wire. The spirals are hammer-forged on a steel bench block to harden the metal and create a beautifully organic, faceted texture that catches the light.
To ensure lasting durability and comfort for sensitive skin, they are suspended from 14ct gold-filled ear wires.
They are intentionally designed to be felt. Copper is a highly conductive metal that warms instantly to your touch, feeling like a true extension of your body. When your mind feels scattered, reach up and hold the spiral. Tracing your fingers over the deeply hammered divots and following the continuous, looping path to the center offers a highly focused, satisfying tactile experience. This gentle friction helps to quiet the nervous system and anchors you firmly in the present moment.
A Note on Raw Copper: I choose to work with raw, uncoated copper for its beautiful, ancient energy and natural warmth. Because it is unplated, it will gradually oxidize and develop a rich, earthy patina over time. You may notice raw copper can leave a faint green mark on the skin—this is a completely harmless, natural reaction.
However, because the ear wires themselves are premium 14ct gold-filled, the part resting inside your ear piercing will not oxidize or transfer color, offering a perfectly comfortable and hypoallergenic wear.

The Process: Hand-shaped, hammer-forged on a steel block for texture and strength, and hand-assembled.

As each piece is made to order, I am unable to accept returns or exchanges unless the item is faulty or not as described. If there is a problem with your order, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to put it right.
Cancellations Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Once making has begun, the order becomes non-refundable.
